A restaurant site that behaves like a tasting menu.

The brief
Fine dining sites usually fail in one of two directions: they are so atmospheric that nobody can find the opening hours, or so functional that they feel like a booking form with a photo on top. The brief was to do both properly, and to make the menu — which changes weekly — genuinely easy to keep current.
Design direction
The photography leads and the typography stays out of its way. A single full-bleed image opens the page and the menu follows immediately, set as an editorial column rather than a price list. Booking sits in the header on every screen, so it is never more than one tap away. The kitchen updates the menu themselves from a simple editor.
What it includes
- Full-bleed opening image with the week’s menu directly beneath
- Weekly menu the kitchen updates without calling us
- Reservation flow reachable from every screen in one tap
- The room, the story and the location as one continuous scroll
- French, German and English throughout
Art direction
Close-up editorial food photography: warm directional window light from the left, dark matte ceramic, shallow depth of field, plate cropped off-frame at the right. Deliberately unstyled — steam, a thumbprint on the rim, one herb out of place. Second image: the empty dining room shot at 17:00 as the light goes gold, chairs slightly imperfect.
Studio Élan
Price transparency as the luxury.
